PokeBonk Charizard is the final form of the Fire line and the first form of that line with a second type. This PokeBonk Charizard page explains the third Ultimate tier, the stat total and the matchup changes caused by Flying. PokeBonk.gg is an unofficial fan site; the data below comes from the files of the free browser game PokeBonk, and the official game is at pokebonk.com.

PokeBonk Charizard at a glance

  • Pokédex number 6, types Fire and Flying, stage 3 of 3.
  • Base stats: HP 78, Attack 84, Defense 78, Sp. Atk 109, Sp. Def 85, Speed 100 (total 534). Sp. Atk is the top stat, 29 points above Charmeleon.
  • Family kit: Ember, Fire Spin, Flamethrower and Fire Blast.

Giga Blaze, the tier 3 Ultimate

The last tier is Giga Blaze: fourteen fireballs rain down on the enemies and everything ends in an enormous explosion with magma cracks. Where Charmander used one ring and Charmeleon three, PokeBonk Charizard has fireballs that land on enemies, and the text no longer describes rings around you.

PokeBonk Charizard passive: Sea of Flames

The family passive is unchanged: below 40% HP you deal +40% damage, and Fire damage gets +10%. A final form with the highest Sp. Atk in the line uses the Fire bonus on every Flamethrower or Fire Blast hit. As before, nothing in the passive protects you.

PokeBonk Charizard matchups

Here the typing matters. Compared with the earlier stages, PokeBonk Charizard is the first form of the line with a second type, and Flying changes the table in both directions. A pure Fire Charmeleon takes x1.35 from Rock, while Charizard takes x1.6, the cap on damage you take, and Electric rises from x1.0 to x1.35. In return Bug and Grass fall from x0.8 to x0.64. The game code applies x1.35 for super-effective, x0.8 for resisted and x0.5 for classic immunity, and damage you take is limited to between x0.5 and x1.6:

  • Rock: x1.6. Fire and Flying are both weak to Rock, so the raw product of 1.82 is cut to the x1.6 cap on damage taken.
  • Water and Electric: x1.35. Ice: x1.08.
  • Ground: x0.675, because the Flying immunity is only x0.5 here.
  • Bug and Grass: x0.64. Fighting, Steel, Fire and Fairy: x0.8.

Note that Rock is a bigger threat than Water for PokeBonk Charizard. The type chart shows every type.

When PokeBonk Charizard evolves

The derived level is about 44, per the game data and not play-tested. The game also schedules it at least 3 levels after the first evolution.

How to use PokeBonk Charizard in a run

Verified: Fire hits can burn, and Burn deals 30% of the hit per second for 3 seconds. General advice, not a measured build: Rock is the type to respect most, and Ground attacks do less than a classic game would suggest (x0.675). The Pokédex lists all lines, and the builds guide explains upgrades.

Frequently asked questions

What is Charizard weak to in PokeBonk?

Rock is the worst case at x1.6, the cap on damage you take. Water and Electric deal x1.35 and Ice deals x1.08, while Ground deals only x0.675.

What is the Giga Blaze Ultimate in PokeBonk?

Giga Blaze is the tier 3 Ultimate of the Charmander line. Fourteen fireballs rain down on the enemies and everything ends in an enormous explosion with magma cracks.

Is Charizard immune to Ground in PokeBonk?

No. The game code treats a classic immunity as x0.5, and the Fire half of the typing adds x1.35, so Ground deals x0.675 to Charizard.

How early can I play Charizard?

Not early. The code derives about level 44 for the evolution, which we have not play-tested, so treat it as a late-run form.
