PokeBonk multiplayer: what exists today
Updated
Play PokeBonk nowPokeBonk multiplayer today means online features around a solo run: friends, clans, leaderboards and seasons. It does not mean two players fighting the same horde. This page explains exactly what exists, based on the game’s own text and the Season 2 patch notes, so you do not waste an evening looking for a co-op button.
PokeBonk multiplayer: can you play with friends?
Not live. Every run in PokeBonk is a single-player run, and the press coverage of the game does not describe real-time multiplayer. We also found no sign of one in the game: its main script has no WebSocket (live connection) code, only requests to its server for accounts, runs, clans, friends and leaderboards.
What you can do with friends:
- Add other trainers by name or from their trainer card. Once they accept, you see each other in your friend lists and you can tell when the other is playing.
- Invite friends to your clan from the friend list.
- Compare results on the PokeBonk multiplayer leaderboards and on trainer cards, which show recent runs, the mode, the region and the difficulty.
The game text also says: “Your friend list will be the base for playing runs together.” That is a plan, not a feature. If it changes, PokeBonk multiplayer changes with it, and the patch notes (tap the version under the logo) will show it first.
Accounts for PokeBonk multiplayer
Every PokeBonk multiplayer feature needs an account. A guest profile lets you play instantly, but the game says you need to create an account to have friends, to join or found a clan, to receive invitations and notices, and to compete on leaderboards. When invite-only mode is on, creating an account needs an invite code, which the developer hands out on the official Discord.
PokeBonk multiplayer clans
Clans are the heart of PokeBonk multiplayer. You pick a name and a tag, design an emblem and invite other trainers. Everything you play adds points for the clan.
- Size. Season 2 (version 0.8.0) lets clans grow to up to 200 slots.
- Points. Every valid run by a member earns clan points: KOs, guardians, Alphas, legendaries and wins, with more for Hard and Nightmare. Survival has its own clan leaderboard, where each KO and each second survived counts, plus milestones.
- Weekly missions. Each week has three missions with up to three stars, plus a rivalry against a clan your size. They pay Stardust to members who helped and experience to the clan.
- Levels and streaks. Clans level up by playing, with a daily streak, missions and rivalries, and each level unlocks emblem decorations and symbols.
- Board and chat. A clan board lets you say hi, arrange to play together or celebrate runs. A notice stays pinned for 7 days and reaches every member’s mailbox.
- Joining. A request to join lasts 7 days, and a leader or officer decides.
At the end of a season the top clans win prizes. Members who scored enough points receive Stardust, and the clan gets exclusive emblem decorations.
PokeBonk multiplayer leaderboards and seasons
Competition in PokeBonk multiplayer runs in seasons. Season 2 began on October 21, 2026, and everything reset: leaderboards, clan points, rivalries, missions, streaks and clan records. There are boards for KOs, for Survival, for time attack and for each Pokémon, and you can read them globally or per map. Placing high at the end of a season earns badges, avatar frames and Stardust, and the team reviews the leaderboard and hands out prizes by hand.
Cheating is taken seriously in PokeBonk multiplayer. The patch notes report that accounts were suspended for cheating or botting, with their records removed from the boards. The rules forbid modifying the game or automating runs. We do not offer scripts or hacks, and we will not link any.
PokeBonk multiplayer tips without co-op
- Join the same clan and pick a shared weekly mission, the closest thing to co-op PokeBonk multiplayer has today.
- Agree on a Pokémon or map and compare results on trainer cards.
- Use the official Discord for invite codes, bug reports and finding clans.
- Keep your trainer name free of personal information, because names and scores are public.

Frequently asked questions
Can you play PokeBonk with friends?
Not in the same run. Runs are solo. You can add friends, see when they are playing, join the same clan and compare scores. The game says your friend list will be the base for playing runs together, which suggests co-op is planned, but it is not available now.
Is there PokeBonk online co-op or PvP?
We found no live co-op or PvP in the game files or the press coverage. The online parts are accounts, friends, clans, leaderboards and seasons.
How do I join a clan in PokeBonk?
You need an account, not a guest profile. Find a clan, send a request (it lasts 7 days, and the leader or an officer accepts or declines it), or accept an invitation sent to your mailbox.
How big can a PokeBonk clan be?
Season 2 patch notes say clans can have up to 200 slots. Clans have a board, weekly missions, a rivalry against a clan of similar size, levels, a daily streak and records.
Do guests appear on the leaderboards?
No. Creating an account is required to compete, to enter the event leaderboard and to choose your name.
