PokeBonk update: patch notes, Season 2 and what changed
Updated
Play PokeBonk nowThe latest PokeBonk update is version 0.8.13, dated October 21, 2026, which is the build we checked on October 22, 2026. It follows the big Season 2 launch in version 0.8.0 and a run of smaller fixes. This page lists the Season 2 changes, a short digest of the PokeBonk update history from version 0.5.0 onward, and how to read the patch notes inside the game.
Current PokeBonk update: version 0.8.13
Version 0.8.13 and version 0.8.12 both carry an empty patch note, so there is nothing written to report for them. The last PokeBonk update with a note is 0.8.11, which makes the game recover by itself if an update leaves a blank screen. Before that, 0.8.10 fixed some runs that failed to save after a connection came back, and 0.8.9 made the server cope better when many players join at once.
Season 2: the big PokeBonk update
Season 2 arrived in version 0.8.0 on October 21, 2026. Here is what the note lists:
- Two new maps: Storm Coast, with Zapdos, and Celestial Glacier, with Articuno, plus 12 new guardians that each have their own mechanic.
- Move fusions at Bill’s Machine: combine two maxed-out moves and free up a move slot.
- New content: 24 new items, 5 vitamins, 3 shrines, mega crits, TMs as power-ups, the ground slam and the Pokémon Egg.
- New leaderboards, with prizes for time trials as well.
- Clans: board, weekly missions, rivalry, levels, streaks, records and up to 200 slots.
- Halloween event: “The Night of Lavender Tower”, where you climb the tower, collect Candles and win prizes until November 4.
- Interface: a redesigned main menu, new achievements and Lab upgrades.
- Gift for Season 1 players: the Kanto Pioneer avatar and the PokéBonk Pioneer title, delivered to the mailbox.
Version 0.8.7 then restarted Season 2 from zero: leaderboards, clan points, rivalries, missions, streaks and clan records. Version 0.8.8 let players who had beaten Rocky Desert in Season 1 into Storm Coast.

How to see patch notes in the game
Tap the version number under the logo. The window lists each version with its date and changes. On mobile the tap works again since 0.7.7. This fan guide rechecks the Pokédex and builds pages after each big PokeBonk update.
Why a PokeBonk update can change this site
Each PokeBonk update can change numbers, so a guide can go stale in hours. We note the version and date on every page, and when a patch note touches a rule we describe, we recheck it against the game files. If anything here differs from what you see in the game, the in-game patch notes win.

Frequently asked questions
What is the latest PokeBonk update?
Version 0.8.13, dated October 21, 2026, was the latest build when we checked on October 22, 2026. Its patch note is empty, and so is the one for 0.8.12. The last update with written notes is 0.8.11, which fixed the game recovering from a blank screen after an update.
Where do I read the PokeBonk patch notes?
Open the game and tap the version number under the logo. Since version 0.5.4 it opens a list of what is new in each version, and on mobile the tap was fixed again in version 0.7.7.
Did the Season 2 update delete my progress?
No account progress is announced as deleted. Season 2 reset the seasonal parts only: leaderboards, clan points, rivalries, missions, streaks and clan records. Runs started in Season 1 and sent in after Season 2 opened no longer count on the new boards, but the patch note says they stay in your history.
Are the notes on this page complete?
No. We only read the patch notes bundled with version 0.8.13, and the list starts at version 0.5.0 on October 17, 2026, so anything earlier is missing. Two recent versions have no text, and the developer ships fixes almost daily, so the live notes inside the game are always the source of truth.
How often does a new PokeBonk update arrive?
Very often. The notes list 39 versions between October 17 and October 21, 2026, with 14 of them on October 21 alone. The pace may slow after Season 2, but we have no schedule from the developer.
