How to play the Staryu line

Staryu’s line is the Star, and its four moves cover four types: Water Shuriken (Water), Confuse Ray (Ghost), Mirror Shot (Steel) and Photon Geyser (Psychic). Its passive, Core, gives +20% projectile speed and heals you for 5% every 8 s; as Starmie you get +10% special damage. The Ultimate is a bouncing attack. Bouncing Star launches you like a spinning star that bounces between enemies ten times, faster each time. As Starmie it becomes Core Beam, fourteen bounces plus a beam of light that sweeps 360° around you. The game’s code puts Starmie at about level 36. To join it, cast 150 Ultimates. Variety in one kit is its main draw.
